The Marvell data center interconnect portfolio includes COLORZ®, COLORZ® 400 and COLORZ® 800 modules in multiple form factors to connect regional data centers.
Marvell offers a portfolio of DCI modules designed to efficiently transmit data over regional fiber networks. Using Marvell coherent DSP technology and the field-proven Marvell silicon photonics platform, switch-pluggable COLORZ™ modules make high-speed connectivity between cloud data centers as efficient and cost-effective as inside-data center connectivity.
COLORZ 800 is the industry’s first 800ZR/ZR+ pluggable coherent transceiver for data center interconnect applications. Powered by the 5nm Orion coherent DSP and the Marvell silicon photonics platform, COLORZ 800 enables large cloud operators to connect metro data centers up to 500km apart at 800 Gbps and regional data centers up to 1,200km apart at up to 600 Gbps. Available in both the QSFP-DD and OSFP form factors, COLORZ 800 lowers the capital cost of DCI substantially compared to traditional systems.
COLORZ 400 is the industry’s first 400ZR/ZR+ QSFP-DD pluggable coherent transceiver for DCIs to major cloud operators and OEMs. COLORZ 400 enables large cloud operators to connect metro data centers at a fraction of the cost of traditional coherent transport systems and allows switch and router companies to offer the same density for both coherent DWDM and client optics in the same chassis.
COLORZ links together regional data centers located within the same metropolitan region so they can function efficiently as if they were a single mega-data center. This virtual mega-data center enable operators to cost effectively and incrementally build smaller 30MW-class data centers and subsequently link them together as if they were a single 120MW-class data center. It is COLORZ low latency, high density and low power characteristics that make this compelling "mega center" architecture possible and cost effective.
